I am a landscape painter. At times I will record simply for the enjoyment of being in a particular place and at other times I will search more deeply for the marks that both man and nature have made on the landscape. It is through this search that I find the patterns, colours, textures and forms that are the roots of my work.
Trained at Gloucestershire College of Art, Cheltenham and Leicester University.
Teaching art since 1969 in Northamptonshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, West Midlands and was Director of Art at The King’s School, Ely, Cambridgeshire for 21 years. Currently retired from full time teaching to concerntrate on own work, running workshops and offering private tuition at The Willows Studio.
