Artwork by Pam Winbolt

I live and work in Suffolk after having spent 13 years in Germany where I was working as a Ballet dancer, choreographer and co-founder of a youth Ballet Company.

Being a Painter and Sculptor I use a range of materials. Paintings are a sensuous mixture of oil and beeswax. Sculptures can be of clay, wire mesh, plaster, beeswax, resins even teeth and lenses, it's interesting and fun using an experimental mixture.

My work is often on very large canvases using oil and natural media. In 1999 I founded 49&Rising. The group aims to encourage and help artists to bring their work to the wider public by exhibiting in public spaces. It is interested in promoting creativity through an exchange of ideas between artists and the public, in developing a wider understanding of the artistic processes and in making art more accessible and thought provoking for everyone.

I took a Fine Art degree at the Norwich School of Art since when I have exhibited in England, France, Germany and America, where there are private collections of my work, public collections can be found in London, Germany and Suffolk. I have worked on many community projects and have received several awards during my visual arts career.
