Painter
Most of my images depend on visiting special areas, ( historical or geographical ) making drawings, diagrams and taking photographs. My subjects are often viewed from a different perspective and hopefully invite thoughtful and reflective interpretation.
Recently and unusually I have been working with urban subject matter, trying to add an atmospheric and ‘landscape’ quality to the images, again allowing a wider interpretation.
Capturing elusive ideas and visual qualities in paint is still really challenging and exciting.
